Honestly I dont think most clients would know what to do with our powerpoint deliverables even if they wanted to modify them

Haha yeah but then the client can change info and pass it off as if you did it 😓😓😔

They are paying an arm and a leg for us and the work we do. I always send my clients ppt version

Venting. Got hired on FT at a large in-house in NY. Every project I have been assigned to is due immediately, already late, and has no direction. Every project is supremely animation heavy with some hand painted animations… all out of my wheelhouse. None of this was mentioned in my interviews and no one seems to understand why a video editor does not have experience hand painting animations. Seems like a special skill set that should have been discussed before hiring. Confused and burnt out.

Hello, I am graduating shortly and starting bar prep. Should I accept an offer to start at my firm early or stick with the post-bar start date? It would be hourly to avoid the billable requirements and I would be off all of July for hard-core bar prep. Aside from risk to bar prep, are there any other downsides to starting hourly?

What are peoples’ views about being asked your current salary by a prospective employer you are in “talks” with about joining? For context, I’m 1.5 year qualified and London-based, lateraling to another UK HQ’d firm. HR asked me what I was currently on, I reluctantly answered as I didn’t want to come off as defensive, but want to know whether this is something we should be disclosing? (Also, newly qualified start salaries are publicly available online in the UK so not sure why she even asked 🤷🏻‍♀️)

My team just hired a new paralegal to replace our retiring paralegal. Other than the main partner, I am the only female attorney. I’m also the only one always in the office. So I get one of the staff coming into my office every other day about some drama the new paralegal has started. Like her telling people other people don’t like them, that she doesn’t trust people, and that so and so told her xyz. The male partners don’t get to hear any of this stuff, and I feel weird repeating. Thoughts?
