First off are there any other seniors with you? I would assume there definitely are staffs below you as well. There’s no such thing as being a fool you are new! Anyways you have great leverage here. Don’t be afraid to ask your staffs as many questions as possible as they are familiar with the client. They are staff they aren’t as busy as the seniors and managers and will be more than happy to help you out! Next questions you are unsure about definitely ask the other seniors if there are any and also can run by manager. I think you have great leverage as a senior don’t be afraid to ask as many questions and get familiar. Better to ask now before busy season comes! Don’t make that mistake be a SPONGE especially as a senior.
Your in better shape than I am in terms of team. Definitely leverage your questions to staff on your team. They won’t know everything so ask the other senior as well. The senior won’t know everything either but typically knows little more than the staffs. Another tactic is do you have an offshore team? If there is an offshore senior whose been on the team for while that’s another leverage. You would have to stay on late to run by them or log on early due to time zones. I may be going overboard but always good to ask people who been on the team. Offshore team members are super helpful as well and can answer your questions as well!
