This is hard to believe this day and age. I insist on getting my own coffee as it is the only way sometimes to stretch your legs and maybe get some sunshine.
In any case, I hope the senior ran into somebody more senior who gave him an appropriate errand to run
Loved the way you dealt with this.
Seeing some of the other comments, I'm old enough to ask what's wrong with someone on the team helping out with coffee - as long as it isn't derogatory or patronizing. We all take turns to get coffee, lunches or help each other out. It's not grade based, it's need based.
Longing for the return of common courtesy sometimes. I was bought up to believe that good manners cost nothing and buy you a lot. Surprisingly (or not) I find that this gets me a long way when I need good customer service.
Let's vote for treating other people as you would like to be treated yourself.
Haha D1 got it. Just smiled and said thanks for volunteering to get coffee for the rest of the project. And that we'll discuss his comment after my client meetings. Team says he's been silent and pale-faced for the last 2 hours.
Hahaha. What happened then is what I'm more interested in.
Wow. I hope you told him that that's a great idea and directed him to the nearest Starbucks.
No not PwC culture to get coffee. Old manager once asked me to carry his bags and my partner yelled at him.
You should have had your dragons set him on fire
OP 👏🏼
I've never seen it in PwC culture except juniors offering to get lunch so they can take a little break from the team room
BTW, is this PwC culture to ask juniors to bring in coffee? We don't really do that here in D - at least not on mine. Any
That's awesome. Way to take the high road on your part.
What an idiot. Who doesn't know who their manager is before starting a new project?? I hope you seriously school them, OP. 👏
Good move OP. I am sure he has learned an important lesson.
OP you make me want to work for pwc
This dude was a day late, super rude, and didn't do his simple homework (figuring out who his manager is) before showing up for the project. How does this guy have a job let alone be a senior? Who hired/promoted this guy?
He has some much needed feedback coming. He will never make that mistake again, I'm sure
I would've given the most ridiculous fucking coffee order ever
One of those few moments that make you feel really good deep inside. Loved it, wish I could have witnessed it 👌

News flash, D12, there are M/SM/PPD here.
D12 - managers have time for fishbowl because we delegate all of our shit to you ;)
