Atlanta

New to Atlanta - my firm offers United Healthcare, Aetna, and Anthem HDHPs - any opinions on coverage in the city? Benefits and rates are the same so only thing to consider is in-network coverage.

If you’re healthy and don’t need a doctor much, always go for the HDHP - great way to save extra money tax free. There’s a bit of risk on the deductible, but again, if you are in good shape and rarely seek medical attention, it is the way to go. It’s definitely saved me money and I now have more than enough saved up to cover any deductible.

With an HDHP you can start an HSA which is a pre-tax savings account for medical expenses. The money is yours even if you leave the company.
