How much % raise in base salary would you accept in an offer to move from Gov to private?

Any idea on the compensation bump from audit senior to manager? Dallas area. It’s always been sold as the first significant bump in pay (and the carrot a lot of people chase), but worried about that going away given the pandemic. Just curious about the typical bump.

As a Junior I have this internal battle of being like a monkey and doing exactly what I’m told to do even if it seems wrong vs. actually using my brain to point out errors in instructions or make judgment calls (on low-level things) but risking being wrong and looking dumb or making the midlevel feel like I’m trying to one-up them. Often times, the partner’s comments validate what I was thinking but I still don’t want to alienate any associates or develop a bad rep.

RANT: Had an annual well woman’s exam and extensive blood tests and have yet to receive ANY of the results, in spite of the nurse calling to tell me that some of the results were “abnormal” and the doc would follow-up to provide a more comprehensive view of what’s going on. My little sister got engaged today. She’s so in love and she truly found her soulmate. I’m so happy for her but I can’t help but feel bad for me. I am 37, no kids & this year I found out my ovaries are very cystic but I am not diagnosed with PCOS due to my hormones being in normal range.
