Don’t think about it that way. Just enjoy it, you don’t want to condition your mind to expect to hate it
Yes. Give it another year or so.
It really depends on your team IMO. I’ve had projects with people I really enjoyed working with and hanging out with and it was a great experience. You feel fulfilled at work and have a group of people to explore a new city with.
When you get on a project with people you don’t like working with (or with a small team), it’ll be very different. At least it was for me. That’s when the travel and work starts dragging a lot.
Make mental notes about what is bringing you joy in your job now. Try and replicate for years to come. Welcome!
It depends on your outlook and personality. I love the travel more than ever but I’ve always been a nomad. If I have moments of feeling burnt out it’s more due to things in my personal life or letting self care slip. Either way, enjoy the good days and learn from the bad 🤗✈️
phase? When did you get burnt out?
I’m 4.5 years in and with the right projects, still dig it. Enjoy it until you don’t enjoy it any more, whenever that may be.
Yes, but enjoy the honeymoon. I burned out after 7 years, then it took another year to find something new. I took a few years off then came back refreshed and much happier.
