New to consulting… what counts as utilization? I’m on my first project tomorrow. I need to get as many hours as I can to go towards my utilization, but does it have to be client-related for all 8 hours (or more) per day?

How do you really make money in project management? For instance is tech pm more lucrative than financial services pm? Or is this a path to like product management/strategy fields... new PM here trying to understand career paths :)

It’s a significant amount (well to us) and the client is now starting to open up and telling everyone about the situation that we helped to resolve.

Junior here. How common is it to be nudged off a brief when you can't get ideas through internally? My partner and I are often put on the same briefs as more experienced (sometimes senior) teams. As a result, their work tends to make it through to the client presentation while most of ours dies somewhere along the way from CD to CCO. Is this worth worrying over?

Have NYC-based employers with hybrid schedule been lenient for office workers? In light of crime trends, pandemic, work-life priorities, I'm trying to assess if taking a hybrid NYC job (as someone working remotely from NJ now) is worth the headache. Potential new employer says 3 days in a week, but during my interview process, I only met with one person who was in the office during my Zoom interview.

I have 32k miles with THY that are about to expire. Normally I'd go ahead and book a flight, but I can't project which countries might be locked down again 5-6 months from now (haven't accrued enough PTO to travel in near future). Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?
