My partner is a lawyer with ADHD, diagnosed as an adult, and about eight years into our 11 year relationship. We're working on him articulating how his brain works, and I want understand his experience as best I can.

What's the one thing you wished your (non-ADHD) spouse/partner understood about living with ADHD?

I'm going to admit I'm a hopeless "ABCD" so please pardon me for asking a dumb question but can someone explain how and why cousins are arranged married in Muslim households?
- Like how far apart must the relation be?
- Is it only a Pakistan thing? A Subcontinent thing? Or World Over?
- In India and elsewhere all my cousins call each other brothers and sisters basically. Is that a Hindu thing only?

It’s week 5 for me of the breakup and even though I had a full and fun weekend with friends and people I love, I woke up today so so sad because I wanted to text my ex. I just feel overall so defeated and exhausted from sadness and unmotivated at work :(

Does anyone else dread flying back home to spend a weekend in the town you grew up in? The older I get the harder it is for me to go home and visit for the weekend. How do you deal with the anxiety of going home? I love my family and am fairly close to them. I have another sibling that lives out west. Our parents support us living out of state and don’t blame us for moving out of our tier 3 Midwest city(just an opinion).

PSA: Buy a house if you are able. I spent the first 5 years in big law annoyed and upset with many things but my life has gotten so much better since I bought a house. I now have a separate office to work from and actually like working from home. I no longer have loud neighbors I share a wall or ceiling/floor with. I have an extra room for my mother in law to stay in and visit my infant child (instead of taking him to her house for visits only once a month). Also no worry about rent hikes.

Brothers in Inter-racial relationships be looking at me like I made a mistake by marrying a black woman. Maybe they know something I don't.

Ngl this crisis just affirmed my decision about not wanting to have kids. Serious props to the parents attempting to simultaneously bill and homeschool their kids.

What’s the best cadence for sending nurture emails? I’m looking to re-engage partners who haven’t worked with us in X amount of days. The series will be 7 emails and just wondering if anyone has seen more success with emails once a week vs every other week. Why do couples want to have children? Are we expected to, will we regret it later down the line, or are we seeking “joy/happiness” or “support” later in life? Will it be a good decision to directly get a job as an experienced candidate by telling I have experience in Java(2 years)

or

I shouldn't lie about my prior experience with SAP BASIS.
