Is agency life just meant to suck? I'm in my 5th year, everyone around me (and me) is just sick and tired - whether it be a client, or an MD that just doesn't understand. Time to call it quits?
I currently have 4.6 experience in SAP PS ( Project System) and interested to learn other modules due to low scope of PS.
Please suggest which module would be better.
How does one tame a wildly mismanaged agency or is this normal to put up with? 😩
We have high turnover (& my boss quit) due to many business/leadership issues. There’s been fires every day. I now wear many hats despite pushing back-make hiring decisions/interview, train, onboard, address issues, do strategy work, client meetings, manage new direct reports, manage extra work, etc. I can’t do my job well.
Any solutions I offer to leadership fall flat due to low budget & fires being priority 😞
Hello! I’m a Canadian living in Canada. Really looking to relocate to the states to be closer to my family. Looking for referrals for technical program manager / project manager roles. I’ve got 9yrs + experience in project management, construction, oil & gas. Really hoping for tech roles. I appreciate any help or advice or referral! Thanks in advance!
Sorry if this has been asked before but I’m trying to create a simplified view of complex project plan that auto updates with colors on a separate tab with the high level activities and not sure where to start
I have a Senior Consultant who shows idle most of the day… like hours. I will ping to ask if they need help with anything but they say no, then show idle again for the next hour or so. I don’t like to micromanage schedules because we all have things going on, but any advice on how I can broach the topic? Edit to add: I haven’t seen much movement on project work (we have a working file and it’s mostly my input so far). I don’t care about being idle if you’re productive.
Would love to hear what you send your clients as a retirement gift. Is it personalized to the individual or will each client get the same thing?
I am looking out for the role of Project Management.
Pls let me know if anyone can refer me in his/her organization
I found a solo gulab jamun swimming in syrup leftover from takeout in my fridge and that made my night. Stupid client ignored me all day. It’s the little things.
Had a preliminary interview with a Data Consulting company. It sounds interesting but I am also uncertain about a lot of details.
Does anyone whose worked in Data Consulting want to share their thoughts or impressions of that kind of firm?
They are an established firm with a varied client base and currently between 20-30 consultants ( with current hiring)
Has anyone been in a similar work situation - client clearly has no need or desire for us but partner is pestering for an extension. Am on the ground and clients are avoidant while we basically ...
Just asked a client if they had any virtual currency activity in 2019. Their response, "I don't know what virtual currency is." Guess that's a nope.
You can apply simple project management skills to your life through daily routines. Achieving your goals requires a little bit of repetition with an allowance of some variance along the way.
Houston folks, any restaurant recommendations for client dinner near downtown? Was looking at Xochi but it is booked out. I am exploring options similar to Xochi or better
Are there any Business Development Analysts or Project Managers here from Google?
Would really like to connect with.
Digital/Tech/Implementation 🐠, how frequently is your partner involved in your project? Daily? Weekly? Monthly?
Any advice on what to do when feeling discouraged because of awful client politics getting in the way of the work and thinking and when you actually love the agency you are at and its people?
Has anybody else lost their innovative mojo working in a consultancy? I used to love being an experience designer but now it’s just “how can I make the best of this ill-planned shit pie” what to do??
