Deloitte GPS Business Analyst vs Mercer Health Consulting Analyst?
Deloitte's offer is 7K more and in a cheaper area. Equal interest in both jobs, slight preference for Mercer for people + culture. Leaning towards Mercer because I graduate in Dec and can start in Jan vs having to wait until next summer for Deloitte + location (although higher COL)

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here had inputs on work culture at Stripe? What do benefits look like (couldn’t find specific details on Google). Are they flexible when it comes to attending to family? How is the TechOps role? What is the growth trajectory?
What is a good salary range for someone with 10 years of experience and a MS degree (both exp. & MS in data analytics)
What's the best way to not feel burnt out?

Maybe you can talk to someone at the freelancers union. https://www.freelancersunion.org
I wish I had an answer for you. I'm in the same boat minus the IVF & I'm in MN.
Hi, I'm in the same boat, but I've been going through IVF.
Here are my 2 cents:
Lots of insurance plans don't cover IVF, or making it hard to meet their clinical requirement. You need to check your coverage very carefully, and maybe check with your doctor for some initial tests to see if you meet the pre-authorization requirement.
I had advanced IVF coverage with Aetna (through Cobra), but my out-of-pocket pay was $2000/month for both my spouse and me. Except, AETNA denied my coverage after blood work. I had to spend 6 months battling with them.
I eventually gave up and switched to my spouse’s plan, UHC.
UHC is slightly better at determining whether or not IVF is a medical necessity. However, my plan doesn't have IVF coverage, but I'm paying much less out of pocket for the insurance now.
Note New York state has an IVF mandate. However, it only applies to plans issued in New York state. My plan is issued out of New York, so there’s nothing the state can do here.
I ended up taking a loan for IVF. It was recommended by the fertility bowl, it's called FUTURE FAMILY. They just paid for my last round.
Note your medical expense, insurance, and medical bills are deductible if you do an itemized return, but you need to meet a certain % first.
So I’d say you’ll need to go through your finance and tax to see what's a good deal for you. If you go with insurance, ask them to be very explicit about how they determine your IVF coverage.
Another thing is your medication coverage and its max$$. Your IVF meds are expensive! Pharmacy charges so much more if you pay by insurance V.S pay by yourself. You need to watch out $$ and your lifetime max, sometimes it’s cheaper to pay yourself. And if you pay out of pocket, check with your clinic they might have unused medication donated by other patients they can give you for free.
Hope this helps. DM me if you have any questions.
I had pretty good Blue Cross insurance and we did IVF and it was not covered. So I would see if they even cover it at the highest levels before sweating it.
You should also ask in the Feetility Bowl as you may get some good insights.
