KPMG I’m confused on your referral process. Had a friend refer me before I made an account, made an account, applied to two jobs and got rejected (that’s fine). But if I want to apply to a third job, will it still be under her referral or do I need a new referral? (She said she can’t refer me again for 12 months) I’m not even sure if I applied correctly under her referral. The first two jobs I applied for were through talent community as I normally would without a referral. Help, I’m so lost :(
New to Fishbowl?

There's nothing to explain. It sucks.
The explanation is that it's 20-25 minutes from Manhattan unless there's traffic. And time from curb to gate is significantly better than JFK. Many of the JFK terminals are newer and prettier, but it's 40 minute drive from Manhattan without traffic and probably twice or more time curb to gate.
I love LGA too. So efficient.
It's not impressive at all, but in my experience, more efficient than JFK
Better than Newark
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I adore LGA.
I think that it's only acceptable if you fly delta. I think that their terminals are decent but I heard that the other ones are awful.
Who said it was impressive? That person should be dragged outside and shot in the back.
The explanation is that it's old. There are two runways and they cross (second one added hastily decades later). It's stupid close to Manhattan. None of that would be allowed today, but that all seemed totally kosher back in the day.
Laguardia has its charm just like New York does, it's always busy, chaotic, full of characters; it's not always clean, orderly but it's definitely not boring.
Closer to Manhattan! Come on
Delta hub 🙌🏻
I used to work for the FAA designing landing systems. We referred to LGA as "LaGarbage". That airfield is shit.
Nothing in NYC is new (true of many large cities) because stuff was done here first.
Try reading "It doesn't get much worse than LaGuardia airport" in the WSJ today 😆
@PwC7 -- ha! Validation! That was sadly satisfying to read. ☺️
Delta terminal redeemed itself. 👍🏼 AA terminal is for the birds.
Laguardia was one of the first airports. Remember the iPhone 1 compared to today
Thanks for the insight! All of that makes sense -- I think I was expecting more/newer since NYC is such a major hub. Didn't know if they were planning on doing renovations, etc. The efficiency comments are lost on me since we had to circle for 40min due to wind. Also, the rental car drop off... Didn't understand why you had to go through arrivals to get there? That was probably a newbie/rookie mistake. Love NYC though!! Beats the heck out of the burbs.
Wind is a problem bc the runways are short and on the water - more things that wouldn't happen today. My chief complaint is the delays due to congestion - that should be preventable! But realistically the airport was designed at a time when they could not possibly have imagined how regularly people fly.
