I live in Utah and got an offer a couple of weeks ago for $26/hour. That’s super low and I turned it down. My company is going away from paying PRN employees more money. I would ask for a higher rate because you aren’t guaranteed hours or given benefits

What geo location? That would play a significant role in comp.

This is Michigan. Detroit area

Holy wow, I'm in Detroit and just looked up some of those job postings. They start at $70k and go up to almost $100k. I'm in the wrong field lol. I imagine it's different if its PRN though, right?

I think that's an important factor to state as well! I think if that's what you're getting though, you're pretty much getting the market rate

Hey gang, when applying for a job, what’s the etiquette for connecting directly with the person who you would be reporting to through LinkedIn? Would it be considered creepy/ unprofessional? And if not, what’s the best way to approach it?

For context
It’s a role that I’d be a good fit for, but it’s at a company that gets a lot of applicants so I’m looking for opportunities to get a leg up.

I have two mutuals with this person, but I barely know them so can’t really ask for an intro.
