Newly barred attorney here! Considering a position at a small firm that represents corporations in claims against insurance companies. I love litigation but have never considered insurance litigation. Any advice?

Probably better than defending against those claims. You will be arguing why there is coverage versus why the insurer's denial was incorrect. Or, arguing why the coverage paid/offered was insufficient. Probably good commercial litigation exposure either way.

That would be a good opportunity, OP! Your colleagues will surely guide you. Best of luck!

Go for it! That's a good start! It will be hectic for sure but you will learn a lot.
