Newly in-house in tech on a growing team, but getting inklings that GC is looking to leave (burnout). Awkward position as I just joined. Do I keep updating resume and keep my eye on opportunities/reach out to friends? I literally just joined a few months ago so this feels terrible. Otherwise very happy at the company

Honestly no, it’s a fairly small team - I may be the next up but not by seniority simply subject matter. Would you stick around to find out or start looking?

Great opportunity!!! Stay and take it!

I’ve been prepping hard for M&A technicals (reading R&P, biws400) for a move to an MM IB firm but got hit up to interview for a T2 consulting firm (LEK, EYP, OY).

My goal is to break into PE potentially but I’m not sure if it’s worth putting in effort for T2 consulting interviews because I believe exits from T2 are more limited compared to an MM IB like JEF. My question really boils down to how do exits from a T2 compare to that of a top MMIB? Appreciate any and all insights!

I’ve been a club performing rep for years at a SaaS company…but as an enterprise account exec… my average deal size is around $75k in annual recurring, quota of $1M. This is inline for my company but low when I speak with others for Enterprise rep openings. Any thoughts on recommendations for steps to bridge that gap?

Reunited with an ex and things moved very fast with the two of us spending a lot of time and nights together but we waited to consummate the “relationship”. Recently, he shared that he wasn’t in a position to be in a relationship right now and felt like he didn’t have enough to offer me but he cared deeply for me and was very attracted to me. Admittedly, he isn’t financially well-off and is heading back to school to finish his degree (we’re in our 30s) but it still hurts a lot.

Curious what other underwriters are being paid. We have had a good amount of turn over lately where people are getting 20K plus more, but the people we are hiring to fill those spots are saying we pay “way” more than their previous role. Seems there is a big gap.

So if I negotiated one round and they upped to apparently what "the recruiter was approved to go up to" but it's not enough for me to take it even though I like the team, do I reject to the external recruiter I worked with first, the internal recruiter who provided the offer letter, or the HM who called to present the offer and who I last interviewed with? Want to maintain good relationships with all parties so want to be totally professional about it, but unsure what's best.
