Newly pregnant here! Anyone get pregnant right after starting a new job? Nervous about telling my team and needing to take leave within my first year at the new company.

So my company has unlimited PTO but I’m wondering how far I can actually take that. Would a three week vacation at a tropical destination be offensive? I just feel like I need the biggest break ever after the past couple of years - I’m sure a lot of you feel me on that.

Playing golf with a newborn - Just had our first and she is 6 weeks now. I’ve been getting over to range on Saturday morning for an hour or two but hoping to play some rounds now that weather is turning. Question — How do you guys handle getting golf in with baby responsibility? Any tips?

Struggling so much with nausea that i don't know how do i focus on work. I had to an off from work yeaterday. Wonder how many days can i keep taking unplanned leaves like this. My supervisor is aware of the situation, but the client isnt. Its also leaving a bad impression with 3-4 unplanned leaves a month .
Its getting impossible and i have just completed 3 months.

I have been a CCA medical coder for my hospital in Oregon for 8.5 years. I have been only been doing outpatient simple visit coding and my supervisors have basically stopped me and another coworker from advancing. We don't have any room for advancement and we are basically stuck.
Im nervous for reaching out to other companies to see if I can get a better offer and advance my career. Im nervous because I am a single mother of 3 and have been at my hospital for 14.5 years.

Hi Everyone, I have been an HR Generalist for close to 7 years. I had good managers and poor managers in between. My VP once told me not to pursue my MBA because she would teach me everything she knew. She never did. I am currently going for my SHRM SCP. As a law student interested in going into the field I’ve seen a lot of negative comments saying that only lawyers who couldn’t get into big law go into PA. Although I know most people try to get into big law initially, it is very competitive and many don’t stay past 2-3 years. You certainly don’t make as much going into PA as a lawyer but the pay is certainly not bad and the WLB is generally much better. Here 28 weeks pregnant and tired of hearing you would need to do this for better lactation, you would have sleepless nights. Can a new mother not figure out on her own with the right scientific knowledge ? Is it important to go by what your parents , in-laws or known ones tell you ?

Hi! 26.5 weeks and already feel done. Gonna be a long 3 months from here.

Going through a miscarriage at the moment. Was 5 weeks-ish in and did three days of HIIT workout and here I am. I’m young so not that sad but I just hope I don’t have to get the D&C surgery. :(

Random thought. I would describe the tiredness you feel in pregnancy like a heavy stone tied to you that just drags you down and you’re too tired to care or try to fight it.

For me it’s not super constant or frequent but when I get that tired I feel like I become part of my mattress. 😂😴
