News says many are poised to resign if going back to the office will be the norm. There are many vacant roles in LinkedIn and other job-hunting sites and yet few people are getting hired. Is the algorithm of recruitment software to blame that misses matching qualified persons with companies and roles? Is this keyword guessing the culprit that's why your CV in pdf format does not make the cut?

Finding work today should be easier but it's not. What gives?

My best guess is that people are looking for more flexible work environments (remote) and not many people are offering.

I will also say that this mass exodus is giving recruiters false hope in finding the “perfect candidate” right off the bat when we know that doesn’t exist.

I think people are prioritizing WLB and flexibility more, while looking for more $ (inflation is high this year!). There are a lot of open jobs, but they’re probably not remote first and/or pay has not increased to make up for inflation or lack of remote flexibility.

I’ve also seen a lot more contract PM roles on LinkedIn since COVID started, my last firm had a really hard time hiring a PM because it was contract.

Parents who have or have had a baby. How was the first year or two for you? Was it awesome, was it terrible, did it change your relationship with your partner? Did you regret it, did you want out? I've heard that having a baby can really change things between you and your partner and that a lot of marriages fall apart at that point. Just interested in stories and feedback.

Also curious if one partner kind of pressured the other into having a child/was driving force in wanting the baby.

Based on the various threads I came across, it appears that it’s best to transfer from tax compliance to M&A tax at the senior level.

I’m up for Manager this fall, and presumably the transfer, either internal or external would not happen until then. Would I be setting myself up for failure if I transfer as a manager? I can’t imagine being successful in managing deals and identifying issues at a manager level..
