Is the algorithm of recruitment software to blame that misses matching qualified persons with companies and roles? Parents who have or have had a baby. How was the first year or two for you? Was it awesome, was it terrible, did it change your relationship with your partner? Did you regret it, did you want out? I've heard that having a baby can really change things between you and your partner and that a lot of marriages fall apart at that point. Just interested in stories and feedback.

Based on the various threads I came across, it appears that it’s best to transfer from tax compliance to M&A tax at the senior level.

I’m up for Manager this fall, and presumably the transfer, either internal or external would not happen until then. Would I be setting myself up for failure if I transfer as a manager? I can’t imagine being successful in managing deals and identifying issues at a manager level..

I am STRUGGLING with my account team. Our lead is out 3-4 days every week and his junior is not able to cover, mixed with a lot of work is not clicking. I’m trying to go empathy first, but it’s pulling a lot of projects, off process, off timeline, off budget. Any advice?

Should I get the CAPM or go straight for the PMP?

I currently work for the fed government as a contract specialist for 2.5 years but have been thinking about making career change to project management. I also have a masters in public administration. I know you need 3 years of experience in PM to get a PMP but I wanted to know if it would be possible to sit for the exam without the experience? I mean I technically have 6 more months until I obtain the 3 years of experience. Thought?
