How's the work environment at Ares Management Mumbai? I've read a lot of negative review for its IT section, no work life balance, toxic environment, favouritism etc, though the pay scale is good. I'm skeptical and confused if I should get interviewed. Any suggestions is highly appreciated.Ares Management
3%
Thank you!
It is typically 3-5% for annual increases
Typically the annual raises is just to adjust for economic inflation. It differs with each company, and may usually range between 1%-5%, when you meet the benchmark. If you feel underpaid, I'd recommend asking for a raise by showing your manager why you should be paid that increase. 😉
Thank you! I appreciate that!
2-3% is a standard cost of living adjustment in many industries, I’d consider a raise to be anything beyond that.
If you believe you’re underpaid I highly recommend getting some credible sources together to share with your line manager for later so they can help get you on the ride track. And/or, start pursuing other opportunities where your pay will be more fair
Thank you I appreciate that!
If you choose to ask for a raise, provide some examples of times or projects where you went above and beyond. You can also provide some data on the salary grid for your position. Typically a "you're doing your job and no more" is 1-3% and the "I see you trying to elevate yourself" about the 4-5%. However you said you were underpaid, so if I were in your position I would show up with all the facts in hand but only ready if you need it. See how your review rolls out first.
Exactly this. If you think that big raise is coming based on your performance the last year. It’s not. Not unless you tell them you want more money/ have facts to back up that you’re underpaid.
3% is standard I'd say
3-3.5% normally
