Hi Fishes,

What percentage hike can I negotiate in the HR round of Accenture if I have a second offer of 17 lacs (CTC) in hand and a relevant experience of 2 years?

Inputs from people who are working or have worked in Accenture would be really appreciated. 🙂

Fellow fish of faith, at times as consultants we have to operate in grey areas, "spinning" or "messaging" which are most times lies. How does everyone deal with that? Or is it just people I work with?

30 m ny/nj. US citizen. Moved as a teenager. INTJ. Single since I figured I’m not fighting the biological clock and have all the time in the world to meet someone and get settled. Things changed after I watched Akshay’s mom (Indian Matchmaking) tell him even 25 is too late and not marrying somehow messes up lives of people around him. While the show was staged, there might be truth to the latter part.
Looking for F in ny/nj. Personality: NOT Aparna. NOT Nadia but def more Nadia than Aparna.🙏

Do creative directors have to manage people?
I don’t like managing people, especially juniors who are still figuring out their career paths. But at my company, in order to be considered a leader, you have to manage people. I see myself as a leader, contributing ideas and strategy… I just don’t want to deal with developing performance goals and compensation. Is this the case everywhere? Can I be a creative leader without managing?

Is there a general expectation that a Partner has an MBA?

I doubt it's required at most firms but I'm a pretty senior staff and when I speak with Partners, they seem to speak with an MBA level of business knowledge which extends past their technical skillset.

I realize that's what makes them good Partners but it makes me wonder if I realistically need to get an MBA to keep growing and hit Partner.

I am interviewing for a Strategy leadership role at a SaaS company. A bit rusty on interviews so crowdsourcing from senior folks here, what are best practices or good examples of certain behavioral questions.

1. What is your weakness? I can talk at length about strengths but unclear what weakness to state so as to not mess up my chances.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? This question is tough because there aren't very many levels above me so cannot say in an EVP role.

I’ve been asked to serve as chair for a non-profit. I don’t have time and this is a dysfunctional board (many board members with a tie to the mission of the organization but w/o relevant experience). However, there aren’t many options and I feel obligated. I’m considering it, *if* I can put some guardrails in place to minimize the dysfunction and stay out of the weeds. That’s a huge if. Any advice?

Even to this day, I feel like I have crippling anxiety and imposter syndrome when speaking. It’s easier in project read outs and dedicated client meetings, but much worse when I’m going in cold or without a set agenda. Has anyone worked with / used a coach, tools, etc. to help with this? Recommendations?
