Nice roper/cowboy boots with slacks and button down for a client in Houston? Or stick with normal oxfords?

Would be funny if you showed up the first day rocking the cowboy outfit when all your clients wear suits and ties.

Observe and follow their dress code

I live in Houston and see plenty of people across all industries with nice boots and dress slacks. It’s totally acceptable as long as you have nicer / dressy boots and not “work boots"

like

Check out Tecovas, they have some nice ropers

Would only try this after you’ve confirmed that they actually dress this way, and after you’ve established a relationship of trust and credibility with the client

Hi All,
A friend of mine has been recruited in accenture for a position but post joining they haven't contacted him. Assigned him to a project but have not assigned him any role or responsibility. It been almost two months since he joined the organization . Can anyone kindly suggest what he has to do on this situation. Do he has to wait until someone reaches out to him, Or does he need to contact someone and ask them about his roles and responsibilities. He is a bit worried now.

Have you ever been in front of a big project which is not going to happen because of the lack of commitment of your bosses? i.e. I have a planned and schematized project for the treatment of wastewater in a needy sector of my city. My company needs a social aid project, everything is a match, but my boss does not know how to sell the idea to their superiors and therefore I feel that the project will not be done. Has it ever happened to you? What did you do to face this situation?

When the IRS (e.g., a RO/AO/Examiner) calls or writes a letter… How do you verify that it’s really the IRS and not a scam? I’m new to tax law and I’m worried that I’m going to respond to/answer a scam and give away client info (or my own tax preparer info). I don’t think my worry is unfounded due to the tremendous amount of tax/IRS scam out there but it would be nice to hear from some of y’all so that I’m not so worried about it…

Hello!
I was wondering what kind of contractual or other barriers I might face if I apply for one of the big 4 while working on a project with them in my current company.
I am not too involved in the project but I was in a few meetings and went on a field trip with them as well.
The position that I am applying for is in a different team and city.
Will this considered “poaching” if the consulting firm hires me? Would they need to talk to my current employer?

Hi Guys,

I recently joined Cts, my prior experience was as java back end developer, java 8 and spring boot

After joining cts, I was mapped to a good project, before it started was mapped to a different one
Here I'm working with bug fixes and enhancement of legacy apps java 7, I really don't like it And as I don't know anyone upclose not feeling comfortable at work, feels like I'm judged for everything I do
