What’s the appropriate pay for a Video Prodcuer/ editor (for web) in London? I think I’m being underpaid. I have a BA(Hons) in Film & TV and a MA in Television Journalism. I’ve been working at the same company for 4 years and was promoted 3 years ago. I was told to ‘prove myself’ when I asked about the compensation, then the pandemic put a stop to any raises. I asked again a bit more than a year ago and they gave me a little bump because some left. I’m currently at £31k. The company keeps hiring

Advice needed: how do I tell my boss my team sucks? I switched jobs about 4 months ago and while I like my new clients and my manager, our team is the most unprofessional, unreliable, & incapable group of people I’ve ever worked with. They require constant micromanaging & there’s been times when I’ve had to do some of their tasks for them to avoid missing deadlines. I feel like I’m being set up for failure & clients aren’t very happy. How do I talk to my boss about this?

I moved to a new city and I'm not sure if I will stay for longer than 2 yrs. I might move back to my country. Therefore I don't think it makes sense to buy a new car. Used cars prices are very inflated so I was thinking about leasing a Sentra instead (lease for 2 yrs is $319 with 0 downpayment). Does this make sense or what would you suggest?

I received a take home case study for a strategic finance position. They gave me historical statements for the last 3 years (quarterly) and asked for insights/observations and opportunities/trends. What should I be observing here? I’m used to just modeling exams but I’m not sure how to proceed here. They didn’t give industry but this looks like retail store financials when they are a software company....

Guys, my manager the social media strategist just asked me how to calculate engagement rate. This is such basic knowledge. Everyone should be asked this at the interview at this point just to check if they know it.

This has ruined my day, because this is such a small instance of how incapable she is compared to me but is still in a top position. 😶

Hi All, I had successfully completed my interview with TCS. My profile got selected. I have 7 years of experience and before starting my career in IT I worked as a lectur in a college for 3 years ( from 2013 - 2015). I have included those details also in Ibegin portal under Non IT experience. In college they used to give salary by hand and I used to get 8k-10k per month. Now TCS HR was asking for payslips or bank transaction. What to do? Will they accept my profile? Help me!

Sotanghon Soup with Rotisserie Chicken and Shiitake Mushrooms: This is the Filipino version of Pho and Ramen. The secret ingredient is Annatto powder which gives its distinctive orange hue and a slight peppery and nutmeg flavor. I like mine super spicy and serve it with a healthy dollop of Sambal Oelek. Sotanghon is normally made with vermicelli mung bean glass noodles. All I had was rice vermicelli noodles so I did a Tim Gunn and “Made it work!”.

Feeling nostalgic for my childhood. I was a latchkey kid. I would prepare my own food when I got home because my parents would come home late from work. Harissa Sweet Potato Latkes with Spiced Yogurt, Mint and Pomegranate: My version of latkes is certainly not traditional. Caramelized sweet potatoes are infused with spicy harissa, extra kick from Aleppo pepper and cardamom in the yogurt sauce topped with refreshing mint leaves and pomegranate arils. Would Bubbee approve? Probably not. It’s still delicious and decadent that it can be enjoyed all year. From my tinyhappykitchen on Instagram.

He’s eating solids now. 🤣 This is an Ulster Fry, a typical Northern Irish breakfast aka heart attack on a plate: Fried eggs, fried potato bread, fried mushrooms, fried tomatoes, pork sausages, UK bacon, black pudding, and beans.

Would you eat this? First and last time, I took one bite of each, I could feel my arteries clog.
