Nice to see that Warren, Bernie, and Harris are all in the 1%. Also nice to see Bernie donates 3% to charity and Beto found 0.5% to give. So generous.

Yes that’s why there needs to be more taxes. Charity doesn’t appropriate money to the public sector but taxes do.

No, that’s stupid. That’s not how public policy works. If the speed limit is 65, I don’t have to drive around at 55 even if I advocate lowering speed limits.

Bernie did not try to pork a porn star and give 130k in hush money. My question is whether Trump deducted the hush money for tax purposes. Perhaps, OP can help answer or we can know it one way or the other when House subpoenas his tax returns.

C1, it’s just a thing conservatives like to do where they pretend that rich liberals can’t be liberals (because they’re class traitors? Or something? Idk, it’s very dumb and hard to follow). Really, of course, it should be other way around: people who have had lots of opportunity often want others to have the same opportunity. Thus, rich liberals.

Warren didnt join the Senate until her 60s, Harris's husband makes 90% of their income as a partner at his law firm, and Bernie can go kick rocks.

The point is liberals want to take your money so why don’t they give more to charity ie put their money where their mouth is - Trump does not really count because he not a real Republican - look at Romney he gave 15 percent to charity - People do have a choice I like to see my leaders lead by example

D1, I grew up Mormon and even I think tithing doesn't count. It'll be like counting your own donations to your country club.

So 3% of just over a million (about what Bernie made last year) is $30,000 to charity. That’s a lot of money. Also how exactly is them being in the 1% bad again?

They make money by writing books... And perhaps their plan is to give it away after they die. I wonder how generous Trump is. Should be easy. Let’s just look at the tax returns he released...wait a minute...

Just a counterpoint. Republican tax law reduced charitable donations. https://www.forbes.com/sites/beltway/2018/01/11/21-million-taxpayers-will-stop-taking-charitable-deductions-under-the-new-tax-law/
