I manage a team and one of my employees has gotten accused of something that I'm really not sure that he did. There's no proof. I want to stick up for him, but obviously I don't want to be a person who doesn't believe an accusation. It will really harm his life long term if people decide that he is guilty of it. Moved to industry. Boss is a former consultant and extremely picky. Gives vague instructions for analysis but has something in mind already. If I don’t hit when he was thinking, he scraps my analysis. Anyone ever experience this? More stressed than in consulting

What is your approach to working with high risk clients who tend to be combative and resistant in your sessions?

Have a few upcoming practice interviews with McK people - and have done a fair amount of case prep but still nervous and wanting to impress (especially since they’re all EM+). I think overall I’m better at candidate led due to mainly practicing those, and I understand the actual fundamentals don’t change style to style, but outside of repping McK cases is there anything anyone found particularly useful when practicing those types of cases that they might recommend to me? It’s my gf’s bday next week. She is starting grad school soon and needs a new laptop (she has an old PC). I wanted to give her ~$300 towards a new MacBook, but felt that was a bit impersonal. So, I went to a nearby stationary store to get a card and maybe a few other small things. Does anyone have tips on how to pivot to a PM role? My interviews have been a little difficult to bridge the gap to be a PM.

Q: does account let the PMs speak to timing/own that conversation with clients? At my agency, it’s been a tug of war lately between AM/PM. Not sure if that’s how it is everywhere or just my job...

Those who have been PMs in a startup environment, how did you manage stress or anxiety when there are no clear guidelines for anything and you're creating everything on the fly?

What would be typical compensation for professional development at an Ad Agency? For example a PM completing a Scrum Master course - would partial or complete coverage of the costs be a reasonable ask? Could this be worked into a raise discussion?
