No I do not want to go to a freaking team dinner 2nite. Its 2days after a holiday and we're all exhausted and saying yes because we feel like we have to. Plz just let me workout and take my pants off.

Mandatory team dinners are cruel

like

If you offer to take your pants off, you might be excused. Give it a shot.

Hahah as an update on how my life is currently going: just set my phone timer, put down sanitation paper, and napped on the toilet for 3 minutes

I know I'm being dramatic but I'm in NYC and it's cold and I'm in a bad mood.

LOVE the take the pants off comment! Haha

Oh no I meant pads. Client doesn't have the toilet seat covers. Apparently that is a luxury item

Hate it

I almost loosed my belt during a meeting yesterday

That's a bit ridiculous, but t welcome back.

Take your pants off and jacket?

Sanitation paper as in a pad? I bet you're fatigued from being on your period. I once got so fatigued on my period that I had to pull over and nap. Needless to say, I was super low on iron. Girl, you should just curl up in a warm blanket and watch a movie tonight. Prob best for all involved

Just say you don't feel well

Two mandatory dinners this week. I'm still pissed.

like

That's crazy

like

There is no such a thing called mandatory dinner! You always have a choice! I could care less about team dinner.

like

Lololol I love OP

I couldn't agree more, OP. Mandatory fun is the WORST

Sanitation paper as in toilet seat cover 😁

Feel for you OP. I really hate mandatory social events. I mean I like my team mostly and enjoying hang out form time to time...but not to be forced to do so. I need my private time too.

I accepted a new job, they said PTO was “generous.” I find out it’s 19 days a year of PTO (which includes sick days). I have two young children and we like to vacation 1-2x a year (no more than a few days away each time). Am I crazy that this is pretty limited time off? 8 of the normal holidays off during the year (working the week between Christmas and NYE). Thoughts? I dont know if lack of PTO is a good reason to back out, is it?

Debating on investing on our first rental property. We were initially thinking about a rental in our area code (northern virginia) but all ideas/threads on here seem to indicate renting a beach front property on airbnb would be a win-win. Get mortgage covered over the summer and use it as a vacation home during winter. Is it that straightforward, what are we missing? Any reasons why we should not invest in a beachfront and instead stick to original plan? Tia!
