I am a first year currently in a corporate m&a practice doing some privacy work. I have the opportunity to transition to 100% privacy work if I want, but I am torn. I do really like privacy work. However, I was really only planning to stay in big law long enough to be marketable in-house. I'm worried that I will be less marketable if I become a privacy specialist so soon. Am I overthinking this? Should I just lean in to what I like?

Advice needed: I have a manager that I do PM work for, including metrics, and often get asked to “re-run the numbers” but this is an incredibly complex process that takes a lot of time to make accurate in excel, even though it’s a single-figure output on a team/teams progress

Is there any way to make them realize the effort that goes into it on my side? I’ve stated before but they mostly brushed it off - worried I backed myself into a corner by not making it sound hard enough the first time

Biglaw parents with infants who use formula, I’m not sure how you are keeping it all together. I had a free weekend and my friends didn’t, so I (foolishly) offered to look for their formula since they’re running super low. I went to 20 stores (5+ hours and probably 100 miles of driving) before I found the formula they need for their kid (needs a special type of formula for health reasons).
