First year level 9 (consultant) expecting to hear about pay raise this Wednesday (will be minimal) I am leaving the firm and new offer wants me to start on 11/26, should I ask to start 12/4 so I can..
I am working with a few clients looking to raise capital to bring medical research into the clinic. This is a new endeavor for the firm. I am looking for ideas?
I just got promoted over a friend and I am really worried about how this will impact her. To be honest I think she is even more deserving of the promotion than me. What do I do to make it better so our friendship isn’t poisoned by this?
Anyone know the deal with distinguished achievement? How many people get it? How much better is your raise/bonus? Etc
What is the path to a GC for a senior associate on a TN? I’ve been with my firm since college (2 years) - firm policy is that they initiate the process after a two year tenure (and provided you are senior associate rank, at minimum). Will I be able to pass the PERM evaluation? If not, would things get easier with a subsequent promotion? Or would it be best to lateral to a new firm and start the process there? Sorry, super green when it comes to this
What package can I expect from Deloitte. For position of SAP BW Integrated Planning Consultant with 5 years of experience. Current CTC 8lpa fixed and promotion is final in December from level 11 to level 10 in Accenture. Your feedback is highly appreciated 😊
So what happens to current Ms at the new tiering levels? Especially if they were gunning for a D promotion in the next 1-2 cycles? Do they jump up to SM2? Or just have an extra 2-2.5 years added to their cycle?
After talks with my regional marketing team (RMT), each of us feels that we deserve a raise and have been underpaid since we began. We are the most productive RMT, we drive global scaling with our work as examples, and train up our counterpart teams across the globe. All of this with half the team members of the other teams and within two years of our existence. Does anyone have guidance or advice on how to raise this type of issue, and how to seek a raise both individually and as a team?
Just sitting here thinking.. Dang, I got a 3% annual raise. I feel worthless to my firm. I should leave.
Declined a job offer with 18% raise a few weeks ago because I wasn’t ready to move companies. Starting to regret it but took a risk hoping I’ll love my next project. How will I know if I made the right decision?
Will high tax states reduce property taxes, and raise sales taxes to game the new tax scheme?
Anyone get promoted mid year After receiving the bonus/review? (No pay increase for the promotion)
S3 here. Planning to move companies as my promotion this year looks unlikely. Can i pitch myself for a manager at another big 4? I have close to 9 years of experience and a masters
I got a $8,000 raise for year end and promotion, and no bonus. I just got written offer from other big 4 for 40k more then I am making at Deloitte.
I’d love some help thinking through this. I’m currently renting for $1600 base ($1800 total) and live in the least desirable part of town, and expect it to raise to about $2k/month. I was planning to buy my first property in the city and Airbnb part of it, but it will take me about a year to save up the cash (~$500k starting). Eventual goal is to move more rural but trying to build to FI. I found a property in my ideal dream location for $280k but it needs work, and can’t Airbnb it. Continued
Currently on parental leave. As a father I’m so dang thankful my firm has it and I can’t imagine how my immigrant parents manage to raise two kids without leave.
I have insurance for my primary vehicle and I think Geico covers if I drive other vehicles too. Do you buy insurance when you rent from Turo in this case? Would a card like CSR cover any of it? Turo May not be considered a rental agency from a card standpoint.
Firm: Mass layoffs/no raises after a year long busy season. It’s just business. Workers: Leaves right before the next busy season starts. Also Firm:
Are any Apple agency vendors worried about potential layoffs due to Apple’s stock price and slump in sales?
Is it possible to push back on a parental leave policy? I work at a startup and they’re sharing with me the plan today (I’m the first pregnancy).
Did anyone here work with a publishing company? I'm searching for my exit and would really love to work with books in some capacity
Best consulting firms in South Carolina?
Anyone applying for recruiter roles in tech? Going through interview process to become one. Any advice?
Why did you get an MBA or why are you getting an MBA? Feeling very lost as my ultimate goal is to relocate to my country of origin (developing country) to pursue my entrepreneurial journey (cotd)
How does one move from an IC to a people manager? I am currently a senior consultant, and it has proven very difficult to move to an external company as a consulting manager, without having any actual people manager experience under my belt. Internally, being promoted is just as difficult as they are hiring externally for managers with managerial experience. Any ideas on how to make that jump of levels?
Afraid of my chase account being closed. If you were to transfer UR Points and had no option otherwise, what/where would you transfer your points? Approx 200,000 UR points, not the most but don't wanna lose them haha
Does anyone know the process for applying/changing agencies within Publicis Groupe? What is the typical salary bump?
@PwC wbs 8 code counts towards utilization target? Been 125% on the 8 for 3 months. Either I'm rocking it or it'll come to haunt me later on.
Anyone willing to provide a LinkedIn referral?
Just got turned down by Amazon after two extensive writing assignments, 6 interviews and hours spent preparing. And their policy doesn’t allow them to give feedback when an offer is not made. Talk about a bruised ego. The only silver lining is staying long enough to collect the October and January big law bonuses and then I’m out! The question is where else pays like Amazon?!
So I was given x$ for relocation and was asked to submit receipts. Can I expense my security deposit towards this?
What are you passionate about? Any tips on how to reflect on that? I feel like I’m spiraling into an identity crisis trying to think of my “story.” My work experience isn’t in any particular industry, and my personal life feels standard to millennials - food, travel, outdoor activities, art/culture
If you think an interview went poorly, should you acknowledge it in thank you email? Or is it better to not dwell on it?
Has anyone interviewed with Avant and can provide some insight on the process and company?
