Non-exempt employee? After interviewing for a sales position for a SaaS company, I received an offer. The recruiter made it sound like it was a salary, when I received the offer, I come to find out that they pay “hourly” as a non-exempt employee. Has anyone ever worked as a non-exempt employee before? I think I’m going to dislike tracking my hours. They do pay “overtime” though.

After accepting the TCS offer letter , if I got another higher offer before joining to TCS , then can i ask to TCS HR to give me hike on current offer which i got from another company ? Will TCS give hike on that CTC OR they will just match to other offer ?

I got 2 offers one from NTT Data with 23 lacs and Publics sapient 24 lacs .

Good morning! I work in Medicare sales and I’m just getting tired of sales because I have to change these elderly people on their insurance very frequently, and it’s frustrating most of the time. I eventually want to be a Christian counselor and I just stared school but that’ll take awhile to get where I want to be. I just want to be happy right now without taking a major pay cut leaving sales. I’m making 80k now, I don’t need to keep making that but a decent amount while still helping people. 🙏

in a high paying sales job where i could do nothing and make 240k total comp or work my ass off and get capped at ~300k total comp, after taxes doesnt seem worth it. i have zero motivation to work yet zero motivation to leave. doesn’t seem right

After 5 years as an AE / Sales Manager, what are the next possible career paths?

I love sales and wish I could stay as an individual contributor, but I feel like I am not getting anywhere with the salary i want, and the job itself I feel isn't using all of my potential/skillets (plus I'd like to learn and put into practice more).

So I'm really keen to hear from others what steps they took in their career to get into roles they love doing now but still within the sales side of an organisation.

As an AM, how would you approach a situation where your stakeholder (a sysadmim) doesn't want you to contact people in the org directly, but rather go through them.

How do you balance the wishes of the relationship owner and your desire to grow the client?
