Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

RSUs are overrated. Cash (flow) is king
Sooo overrated.
Seems low tbh.
That’s less than you make right now, right? Assume 25k/yr for the vest.

TC is year 1 comp. So your offer is 290k.
What is your location?
For someone 4 years post MBA I’d say that is a reasonable offer. Hopefully it’s Sr Manager level. Directors will make more.

The best lever to pull is having an outside option that you are genuinely happy to take instead
What is the level you’re exiting to?
Although the base is a bit low, bonus is ok and the RSU’s are pretty good actually.
If you’re exiting, I’d focus more on ability to add value and upward trajectory. If the aforementioned is good, then you hustle and get promoted in 2 years. Rinse and repeat.
Great incoming TC and end up in a wasteland where you’re stuck not doing much sucks.
Also think of WLB! I exited a few years ago and haven’t looked back.
A level Between sr. Mgr and director
At about 6-7 YOE, I exited to a late stage tech startup from Bay Area / HCOL to MCOL with that exact TC. That comp potentially low for HCOL. Usually the easiest lever to pull is RSUs for Bay Area , but I’d try to push base to 210-220K range, $200k rsu value over 4, then that’s a solid offer for Bay Area

Depends on total yoe and wlb, overall it’s not bad, especially given the economy. I’m sure you can push it a bit more
That being said, I just exited to non-big tech with ~275K TC as early C2 but total yoe is around 10 (3.5 teaching). Role is remote so I live in lcol city.

Equivalent with that level for McK yea.

TC here is 265, 1st year Comp 290.
If you have 8+ YOE in NY/SF this is low—but worth consideration given market.
If your in LCOL great offer.
Reasonable to begin with. Ask for base increase to 220 to make sure you're not taking a hit on the base pay compared to current base
Seems very low
How would you go about negotiating this offer?
Confused by comments here. There is likely a RSU refresh each year - your tc sounds like it’s 300+
