Yes. ~80% of VTI is the content of VOO. VTI includes more stocks than VOO (so more diversified) so I just go in VTI
VTI and VOO may be redundant, but adding an international index fund (VXUS) might make sense.

I have vti and looking to sell and put it into voo.
You’d eliminate more nonsystematic risk with the broader index, wouldn’t you? And since the difference is smaller stocks, wouldn’t you benefit from the tendency of small-caps to produce higher returns?
