I have one and would recommend. I (luckily) haven’t had to use it but it’s small and cute enough to keep on my keys. I tested it out once and it’s not quite as loud as expected but still pretty jarring. It’s not mace but it’s definitely better than nothing.

Cool! Thanks for sharing as a real owner. It looks interesting and enticing on the ads and YouTube reviews but wasn’t sure if those were legit. Appreciate it!

I have one and I think it'll work, if ever needed. It's loud enough, imo, to get one's attention.

Thanks for the firsthand input!

Yes! It’s loud!

What are signs that an offer is coming?

Hello, All! I'm looking for recommendations on inspirational content for women leaders. I follow TEDWomen, many podcasts, and the Women's Conference among other sources. I'd love to hear a fresh perspective on business, trends, tech, marketing, equality in the workforce, etc. I'd love to learn something new. I'm at the VP level and have started a couple of companies, so nothing too junior, but open to many topics. Please share any speakers, books, webinars, or events that you may come across.

How long does it take for IBM to send offer letter? I have been selected in the technical rounds and the financials have been agreed upon too. I then had to complete Cognify test which I did last friday. Still have no communication from the HR. This is my first job change after campus, so I'm really anxious. I would appreciate you advice. Thanks

Genuinely curious: How do you justify working in PR knowing that you won’t make $100k+ for 15-20 years? I’m 3 years into my career and I have regrets about choosing this field when I look at my financial timeline.

Can someone walk me through the Do's and Don't's of AA miles? I think they're a joke.

I have 65k miles and I could only pay for a one-way ticket from PHX-JFK. I had to book 1 leg with miles and the 1 with cash, but booking the other leg in cash was about 80% of the round trip in cash.

My mom has 12k miles that expire soon, transferring them would cost me $450. I can pay for a round trip with that cash but I can only pay for a trip to my kitchen with those 12k miles.

What am I doing wrong? 😂

Question for moms. I’m getting married next year and have several close family members that will have babies ages 8-11 months old by then. What are some ways I can support the moms and make it an enjoyable experience for them? We have a separate room at the venue that I was thinking could be offered to the parents to use, or potentially hiring a babysitter for them (either at the venue or back at the hotel). I would love for the families to be able to come, as it is out of town.

Fellow millennial lawyers: tell me, in general terms, 1 or 2 clients you acquired and how you acquired them. I feel like the suggested strategies for developing business are always the same: network, build your brand (hate this phrase), market yourself on LinkedIn, etc. Does any of this work? Seems to me to that most business development comes from long-standing contacts (e.g. your childhood best friend is now CEO and needs legal services), so I’m curious how other attorneys developed business.

I’m currently a junior associate in a boutique litigation firm handling IP. I’ve taken a depo already, will argue in court next month and by all accounts, I am great at it. But I’m miserable. I find the games with opposing counsel exhausting and I despise writing briefs (even if I’m good at it). My pre-law school job was in public relations and I chose litigation because I like to win, but I’m now realizing I like success more than the win-lose. Feeling lost… should I move to transactional?
