Our healthcare strategy team rocks. I’ve been here since we were navigant, and the team is solid. Many of the negative reviews on here have come from other areas of the firm. I suggest seeing out the interview and making a choice once you have an offer in hand

like

Thanks for the insight! Any experience with the Critical Case portion of the interview? Did not receive any information beyond the time and that I will be given a PPT template to use.

Agreed with GH1. Been here almost a year and have had a great experience with a wide variety of work, great leaders, and good WLB 👍

like

Agree with above ^ glad to finally see positives. I'm also in healthcare and have been mostly happy. The onlyyyyyy negative is I'm slightly underpaid, however I was miserable at my last job, and love my team at GH, so don't feel like looking. Hoping the next bonus and raise makes my salary a little better

like

Have nothing to say about GH, but generally I’d say any interview experience you can get is always good experience. At a minimum you build your network and get another rep in

like

I have also been in the healthcare practice for the past 2+ years, and I love it! Great people, lots of ownership/responsibility on projects, and good WLB (especially compared to friends at other consulting firms). If you perform well, the bonuses and raises are solid!

Wanted to represent the folks who are happy at Gh as well :) I've been in commercial health for ~2 years and have nothing but positive things to say.

Guidehouse healthcare strategy team saw a mass exodus between 1-2 years ago. Lots of rebuilding going on. My recommendation… Ask questions about the programs past (to understand history) and then ask questions to see if the programs future matches your interests and goals.

I’m not among the happy bunch and we recently had a high turnover at different levels. That said, you aren’t going to get an unbiased perspective here—- I suggest completing the interview with GH and then making a decision like others said. Good luck!

To add, healthcare culture is indeed better than the public sector though

I interviewed at a company and the recruiter told me the base salary is $60K for everyone.
I asked if it was negotiable and I was told that they believe in equality for all so everyone started at the same rate. (We also get bonuses on what is basically sales). Part of me appreciates the transparency and the fact that they want to be equally fair to all, but part of me also wonders if with more experience and knowledge in the field, it should be fair to compensate some with a bump. Thoughts?

I got a recruiter call for an opportunity and I accidentally quoted a number when he asked my expected salary. Now that I'm in 3rd round of the interview I realize that I should have asked for atleast 20k$ more (my bad) . Is it too late to bring this up with the Recruiter? Just wanna be prepared now in case I get this opportunity.
