Not enjoying my low utilization and would like to either switch internally or leave to another B4 as an A2. What is the best option? Not getting the experience I want and disappointed.

I’d say only do internal switch if you have a network into that new group. In general, it can be pretty difficult to do the switch. Otherwise, no harm in applying to other B4. Hopping to another firm can also increase your salary and potential get you a title bump. Good luck!

What practice and why is your utilization low? As an A2 you really can’t control your utilization since the management team assigns you to projects. If it hadn’t been going on very long I would stick it out and hopefully the work will come assuming your how utilization is not due to being a low performer and nobody wanting you on their projects.

It’s hard but honestly if there are no billable you can assist on bus dev activities. I built a model to identify customers that we can target with certain services.

What service line are you in?

What region are you in? If you DM me, I’m happy to give you a name of someone in the Texas insurance practice.

DM for referral to EY. I work in ASC 740/corp compliance. We could def use help

Yes I am

DM me. I know my director in DC could us an associate.

Wanna be utilized? Come over to our firm!

You could consider transferring to STS. Your ASC 740 experience would be valuable in the Accounting Methods group. Everyone I know in that group has good utilization and enjoys their job.

Come be on my issuer client. Lol 😂 you will get utilized trust me.

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?
