What jobs are there in finance/hedge funds or even venture capitalists that I could get in sales?

Which consulting firm does the most strategy work and is the most embedded with the World Bank? WHO?

Would you take a job that pays well ($100k more) but not very interesting to meet your FIRE goal? It may even be a step down in your career but well… it pays well.

Or would you take another job that you are excited for, mentally challenging, definitely going to be more stressful but it is going to push you toward a more fulfilling work (at least to my ego 🤣). It pays a lot less.

Trump has the opportunity to credit himself with healing the broken fabric that binds Americans. All he has to do is a concession speech and a call in it to unite our brothers and sisters. That would be his revenge and a chance to take back the lost dignity. Else, I am not sure what the history will ever give him credit for.

I’m really bad at casing and have an MBB interview. Feeling overwhelmed as to how to tackle it. Any resources, advice, strategies, words of encouragement? 😥🥺

I'm in the last stage of the screening process for an Amazon AWS security engineer position. Due to the recent hiring freeze, I was given two options: - go through the last screening (5x1 hour interviews) and, if accepted, wait for a position to open. If not accepted I have to wait 1 to 2 years to apply again, as usual. - OR don't go through the screening and having to go through another screening process. Advices on what to do are welcome. Right now I'm more prone to go through the interview.

It probably makes more sense to strengthen your relationships and your CDs’ opinion of you at your current post than it does to be job searching, right? Last in first out?

Currently my salary as a second year associate at an ID firm is 92k with bonus structure. However, I originated almost 250k in legal fees received this year. Mostly from corporate and individual clients I brought to the firm. Is this something most second associates are expected to do or should I leverage this into a sizable raise with the partners?

When is background verification done in Accenture? Is it before joining or after joining? I am about to join in 30 days and yet to receive any such notification.

It’s been about 4 months since i stopped eating protein bars. I see no difference, which is good! Bye bye protein bars! 😬😊

Today some white woman tried to tell me that the Chiefs, more specifically the audience “arrow” cheer where they chop the air and imitate Native American battle calls, is indeed not offensive. Tyww.

Manager: “So how late were you here last night?”
Employee: “2:30 am.”
Manager: “So you were only here until 2:30? Other people on your team were here until 5.”

Biggest pet peeve in the office? I’ll go first. I’m really sensitive to scents so I hate when people eat lunch at their desk. It’s even worse if I’m a new employee, cuz it’s like, are you on lunch or are you working?? Can I ask you a question or not? I always take my lunches away from my desk and other people who didn’t volunteer to smell it. Anyway though. What bugs you?

Curious, are unreasonable expectations, continued stress, unclear KPIs (which are then rated poorly), mental distress and anxiety cause for legal action?

"Okay, so I know I asked for your feedback to ensure my work is accurate, but if you really care about verbiage so much then please make all the updates for me."

The verbiage in question? A clarification to ensure the 3-4 different implementation teams involved in a new product are accurately assigned to various onboarding activities in the workflow, because we're all leveraged resources reporting to different managers and can't do each other's work 😂

Why is it so hard to please someone and giving your all for 2 years and still . Every month after month you try your best and yet promises never happen. Smh you try to help and coworkers go on attack mode like if your going against them . Why is that

I have only worked from home with my current company, so no watercooler talk unlike previous companies. Do people find they hear less than they used to about the inner workings of their companies because there's no extemporaneous chit chat around the office?

Hey Fishes - my team has added a lot of people within the past year and I have started to wonder whether or not my salary as a Sr level employee is “equitable” ( i.e: are these new hires reporting into me getting paid more ?) . Any recommendations on how to have a productive conversation with my director about this?

Within the same meeting from the same person for two different things: "this is the absolutely number 1 priority" 🙄

How are priorities communicated in your company?
