I think my career has tanked!
I've been working in SAP Basis Module for the last two years and I hate my job to be honest. Most of my peers have crossed 5 LPA and got promoted while I didn't even come close to 4 LPA. My colleagues and peers are reticent and I feel I'm wasting my time. I tried to switch to another company, but I got rejected, despite being certified in SAP HANA. My company doesn't recognise my work and I work in night shifts which made me depressed.How do I rebound in my career?

My friend (black guy here) works at Amazon in AWS. He no longer tells people he works at Amazon because he always gets “I hear delivery/warehouse work is hard” or something about peeing in bottles. He says he works at AWS.
Another colleague went to Harvard. He now says he went to “school at Boston” because they always say “the one in DC?” Apparently they always confuse Harvard with Howard.

Lol my wife works for Apple and people assume she works at the local retail location and ask her about updates or how to fix their phones etc so she does the opposite and says “Apple CORPORATE” - not to be a big wig but just avoid the conversation around the latest watch or whatever.
That’s a first lol. Whenever someone here says they work at Apple everyone automatically assumes they are either an EE or SWE at one of apple’s many buildings
I fantasize about working at the IRS and auditing the living f out of some of my coworkers' clients.

I used to be the CFO of regional convenience store chain. It was funny when I would tell people where I worked at. My kids would tell people I worked at a gas station. I didn't feel too bad because one of the other dads owned a few Burger Kings(his kid would say he worked at Burger King) and another one owned 80 Papa Johns(same).

Walmart. Whether you’re in operations, transportation, purchasing, or a janitor at one of the home office buildings, people will think you work as a cashier/customer service guy at a store. Or the people who hunt down all the shopping carts parked at random spots all over the lot and push them back.
