Not in consulting, on the industry side now. Would it be messed up if I left my company for a new role while manager is on parental leave? It was way easier leaving consulting but I feel more guilty about this

I am at the final stages of a job interview at H&R block for a Senior Software Engineer role and final HR discussion is planned for this week. My current CTC is 11 LPA. My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I checked with all the employers of mine and they seems to complied with all the requirements from TCS, still it is in progress. So I am not sure what to do? Please help me.

However, firm X’s offer validity about to run out. Would you: (1) accept X’s offer now but rescind later if Y converts (2) ask X for additional time to decide (they’re “prestigious” and may not offer additional time...) Left McKinsey for a Fintech corporate last year. Really disappointed to see bonuses given out (cash is equivalent to half month salary, equity vested over 5 yes also not great) after getting the 5/5 rating and business doing well overall. Doubting my decision to come to industry. Is this the norm? Feels really low as historically variable has been a big enough component for me to pay down loans/invest.
