Hi Fishes, I am a Subcon working at CG and have resigned recently with NP of 30 days. Is it necessary to explain as why I have decided to leave? If yes, will it be okay if I tell them practical reason but it would be a lie ofcourse. By any means, i have no intentions of staying back/receiving conversion or even hike since I have a way better opportunity with an organisation of repute and I don't want to get into any corporate politics. Will it be a problem for me if they find out later?Capgemini

Doesn’t happen often, but it also depends on how toxic the team is.
Agree. If SA and manager don't have a time to coach or they do not want to coach new staff - it will be a problem. They will probably blame new staff for "mediocre performance " instead of thinking why did it happen.
Like a new hire from October? That’s pretty rare. Honestly, I’m surprised they weren’t fired. New hires have a 90 probation period where the firm can terminate you without any questions asked.
@RSM 2, it's not a big firm. It's a large regional in upstate NY (top 50). The partner, from what I've heard, doesn't like this staff.
Things aren’t always what they seem sometimes. Tools like PIPs are sometimes used to push people out for whatever reason. If possible, my suggestion is to help the person with the PIP, if reasonable and possible and not make assumptions. Just my POV.

RSM2, is this the partner and SM?
Sounds like Bonadio.
