New town home vs 10 year old single family home? Both are in same locality with good school district. This is for investment purposes. Fishes - trying to crowdsource a set of parameters that define a sound Corporate Development organization for a company that makes/plans to make $500m to $1B in acquisitions. Any thoughts on what should be insourced vs outsourced, typical number of FTEs, roles and responsibilities etc. I know this is a bit open ended - but all perspectives are welcome.

Hi All,

Feeling particularly burnt out in my
current role (senior, fund accounting) and
looking to make a career change. I'm
lined up for a promotion to AM in April
but I know that my WLB will be even
worse when that happens. I've been

roles in other companies but haven't had
a ton of luck yet. Can anyone help me out
with a referral, or just recommend
potential companies to look into? Ideally
looking for pay at 90k+ with solid

How do you know your true worth? And once you know, how do you make sure you get it?

I am on a team that manages relationships with the banks that hold brokerage accounts for a large Asset Management firm. I have gained an enormous amount of experience (relationship mgmt, project mgmt, analysis), and compensation is decent - $85k base with $25k bonus - but I have no idea what my top earning potential would be if I switched companies or pursued another role. What is the best way to find out?

Not sure if the right spot but need help figuring out my worth. I am with a large real estate PE firm, mcol area, and I am technically in FP&A. That said I do 95% of my work automating valuations, fund models, and underwriting using SQL, python, and excel (for end users to be able to use). Given my technical department, my skill set, and my actual work I don’t know where to start for understanding an appropriate salary. I have 5 years industry experience with both finance & tech.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].

Do you keep interviewing after offer signed and background check cleared?

Seeking advice -

I got put on a PIP and I am sure that’s a clear indication that I have a target on my back / they want me out. Should I quit before I get fired from the PIP or should I let them fire me? Not sure how it would go when I recruit for other firms - would it be better to quit so I can explain it better to my future employer?

I have been approached with an opportunity at JP Morgan Chase for their private client advisor role. The book is about 30M all in. I am currently an experienced hybrid asset manager wholesaler and have experience in advising as well. Curious about the opportunity with JPM and if it’s worth it. I currently make about 160k and if JPM would give me a high draw for the first 3 years to build, and if it’s feasible to sustain that 160+ there.

I graduated with my MBA in finance in 2020 and began working at a bank as a Management Trainee. 2 years later, I am an assistant to a financial advisor studying to become a financial advisor. However, I have to do this on MY time and not the bank's.
I am not in a Management position, I make as much as a teacher in a good district and I just don't feel my overall self worth at this job. Does anyone have any advice that can help this situation?
