Hello! Is anyone working at Spotify or HubSpot within product/project management that would be willing to connect for a virtual coffee chat?
I’m a recent grad and currently working in tech/product development. I have been interested in growing my career at either of these companies and would be grateful to gain insight on day-to-day and steps you took to successfully break in.
I know this might be a big ask here, but it’s been difficult trying to land one on LinkedIn. Thanks in advance

Hi Everyone,
I just received an offer to work as an software sales representative (SDR) for IBMs Z systems. I'm coming as a sales engineer in the cloud security space. Can anyone advise me on whether Z systems are something worth going into? Also what do the growth opportunities look like at IBM? Is there opportunity for lateral movement onto other teams? Not too sure how I feel about working on mainframes (Z systems) but they keep pitching hybrid cloud to me. IBM

Go for MBA. Someone who did a MS in Engineering 🤦♂️
Wow Director 1, u have just summed it up really well
I actually want to pursue an engineering degree cuz of “intellectual curiosity” but also worried if that would narrow my options to just PM (vs. strategy, biz dev, VC) after graduation??
Chief
Exit opps from school into VC is pretty uncommon. Bizdev usually recruits from ibanking. These two don’t really recruit straight from a grad program
Hmm so for consulting-> MBA, would the options boil down to Strategy/ops roles, PE, potentially PM?
If you are an non-us resident , go for engineering STEM OPT is a life saver, also you can always do an executive MBA later on, also you will learn some hard skills( programming ) , the McK toolkit provides necessary soft skills, also if you are planning to start university this year MBA might not help as virtual networking is rarely effective
Agreed on learning hard skills. But as an fyi most MBA degrees qualify for STEM OPT nowdays
What about dual degree MS engineering + MBA offered at a lot of schools
That’d be perfect but not sure if 3 years of time + money is worth it 😭
