I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Wait, I just realized you don't even have an offer yet. Let's worry about this when you have two offers in hand and have to make a choice.

If you’re landing in Accenture Strategy, take that over Slalom given the A strat group has decent-good market reputation. Slalom is known for its implementation work and is heavy ex-Accenture.
Actually a decent amount of FAANG/Microsoft exits from Slalom.
Slalom. All day every day. (I’ve worked at ACN too FYI)
Ex EY, for the record. Because working at Slalom is working with people who give a sh*t about you. Working Big 4 was the opposite. Most of the Sr Mgrs i worked for at the Uncle gave few to no sh*ts about me and despite always exceeding expectations in my work (documented annually) i would be cast aside if times got tough or a PPED was looking to grind his axe.
“Team” is the norm at Slalom, at EY it was the exception.
Where would you land within ACN?
Meant to ask A1
Worst case you can go to Slalom and then to ACN at a higher level. Did you try to negotiate level with ACN?
Go to slalom then and try and move to Accenture in 2 years. Who knows you might find good career and professional growth at Slalom and stay.

If you're based in the US, SAs in Strategy make $98k base salary - you'll be making more than your estimate assuming you get an offer.
I’ll attest to A3’s assessment here related to the salary differences compared to Slalom. But the team quality statement isn’t accurate.
Salary advancement at Slalom is determined by the local market and team, and driven heavily by your performance. But since you come from Big 4 you can convert the time typically spent traveling or working 60 hr weeks into time spent leading practice or office initiatives, which will drive salary and bonus potential higher (and faster) than peers at Slalom who come from industry and aren’t as familiar with how to get ahead in consulting.
Slalom will have zero up pressure, if you want to be a consultant you can stay there, as long as you do good work, and you’ll still get raises, bonuses, equity opportunity (if you’re a good, hard worker).
And speaking to the quality of the team, i disagree with A3’s presumption that the lack of up or out reduces team quality. If you slack at Slalom we’ll counsel you out, quickly, quietly. The leadership team is very good at assigning consultants to the correct rigor of work. Some people want and thrive on the basic work, and that’s fine for us. Those that want more challenging work, find those opportunities...and do very well.
