Got offer from a top 10 PE firm, but it’s a senior position in Corp accounting. Base comp increased by 13%. Currently M1, not sure if should I take the job for money or should pass because it’s a step down on title. Hours are about 40-50/wk
I was contacted by a recruiter about a role at a large tech company (not FAANG) but the role is as a W2 contractor until their hiring freeze is lifted. If brought on, I would be included in headcount for next year and immediately hired full time once the freeze is up assuming I do well as a contractor. The base comp for the full time is ~75% more than my current base and the role interests me. Basically, I want to sanity check this, am I ignoring red flags in considering this?
Hi Big4, I'm coming up close to 2 years of work exp and I'd love to explore a role at EY, KPMG and PwC in analytics and data engineering. I'd been looking at Deloitte as well, however on multiple occasions Deloitte recruiters told me that I need more "years of experience" without factoring my skillsets. On conducting research, I found developers writing basic SQL queries that I could script at the beginning of my career. While I'm still learning, I'd appreciate anyone who can help :) Cheers!
For those who have recently switched from consulting to industry, what kind of joining bonus are you seeing? It will help if you can state your old position to new position and the joining bonus.

Has anyone worked in HR for a manufacturing company? What’s the industry like? I come from a tech environment and am being considered for an HRBP role for a manufacturing company. Not sure if it’s the right move. Not sure what to expect. Thank you.
About to potentially take on a stretch role (in industry). Very worried that I won’t be able to perform. I have 5 years of experience since undergrad. Will be first time having direct reports (cont.)
Which role is better? Devops or API Management?
What sort of roles can I get an H1b sponsored for? I have an MIS masters from a business school. Can I leverage that to apply for an H1b at a corporate or technical strategy role?

Looking to exit and would appreciate referrals 😁. I have a background in leading IT projects in the healthcare and telecom space, but I'm open to other industries as well. I also have AWS certs, but no real project experience. Can anyone help a 🐠 out?
Anyone ever been in a position where the client doesn’t follow any of your firm’s recommendations and your Partner proposes scaling back the project team in the interim? PPMD wants me on another busy project and the main goal is getting the client to agree to this. Any advice?

Hiring for a Manager, Campaign Analytics at Spark Foundry. Email resume to Kat.firstname.lastname@example.org
Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
Analyst offered a Project Manager role at FAANG. Pays a lot better than D, should I take it?
So I’ve always been a fairly practical person and have always done what “makes sense” vs. following my passion... I majored in computer science (hated it) and am now in a super technical role...
Hi, Does anyone have any idea about xoriant? Is it a product or service based? How's the job security, WLB? And do they send employees to work from client locations?
You’ve got a new gig and you’re hesitant to put in your two weeks for fear they’ll let you go on the spot because of the culture you’ve witnessed specific to leaving employees. What do you do?
Are internships after grad looked down upon? I only have one internship experience and it was with a local real estate firm and I want to get into corporate/commercial banking. Thinking about applying for internships to make myself more marketable. What do y’all think?
Anyone here who made, or know of anyone who made, a transition to MBB from big law? Is so, what was it like? Hoping to learn about the transition, growth paths, how much you liked the work relative to law, and any other relevant considerations. V-30 3rd year considering whether the option is worth pursuing.
Currently an S1 in TR in the north west, making 94k. Just started talks with KPMG, what should I throw out there for salary expectations? I stated 110k and was told that’s in range, just want to make sure I’m not undercutting myself.
Advice please! How would you organize yourself? I've been studying for the GMAT 3 months so far and on my last practice exam (3 weeks ago) I scored 670. My goal is 750 so I feel that I need at least another month to study. I also have a MBB interview in Feb/March and I need to start practicing casing... ASAP. I've never been the organized type so I feel like I am drowning with work, +1 work, etc. What would you do? Wish there were more hours in the day :(
At what age does an MBA no longer make sense? I’m an experienced hire at BCG considering going where I start at age 30. Too old for traditional MBA experience? Does being older hurt in app process?
Want to get a gift for my brother who's starting his MBA this year. Any suggestions? Things that you would have liked to have - or had during your MBA that helped with student living/travel/etc?
The twitter CEO’s base salary is $1million (plus bonus RSUs upto 150% of that). The google CFO’s base is $1million (plus some RSUs I’m sure) and here I am thinking a 3-4th year EY Partner or 1-2nd year MBB partner would probably make that much base? But making partner (as hard as it is) has to be much easier than being a C level exec in tech? What am I missing here :/
Damn y’all weren’t kidding. 50% bump from Big 4 to FAANG for Ops manager role, 6 YOE, 135k to 220k TC. Thank you all for the inspiration!
SPG recommendations in downtown Philly?
Anyone scared of applying for new jobs? I continuously psych myself out with the thought that the new gig may be worse than what I currently have...
