Apartment searching in fall. Are people generally looking for new places or waiting it out while Covid still lingers?

How is the city doing mask-wise? Just got back from FL where Covid doesn’t seem to exist anymore and I’m taken aback by all the masking around the city still (particularly outdoors).

Do you think using “him/her” for “he/she” (ex: “her is playing” “him not here yet”) is something that kids usually grow out of? Or does it need direct intervention? I have 2 students who exhibit this error, who otherwise should be dismissed. Normally I’d just keep them on and work on it alongside other goals, but they don’t have any other goals, and with COVID, and my upcoming maternity leave in March, a more compact caseload would be advantageous.

Our lease renewal is coming up in a couple of months and our building is raising rent by 30%. Any tips for negotiating it down? For context, we didn’t have a Covid deal/discount, we’ve lived in the unit for almost three years, and we love it here overall…but an extra $800/mo is not it 🫠

WFH has made my transition back to working so much easier. AlixPartners fishes need some guidance ! I went through the recruiting process for the digital practice earlier this year. Over 9 interviews/ discussion/ tests etc. the feedback was good but was not offered a job due to COVID uncertainties. Recruiter said the firm is interested in hiring me when things pickup.I recently sent a note to the recruiter asking if she has any updates, she said no new updates at this time. Last Friday I saw 3 new opening for the same role, what should I make of this !

Has the covid19 made you think more about your bucket list and all that you want to accomplish and experience, the daily job grind notwithstanding? I feel like while I am at a standstill, my mind is racing with all that I need to decide and do.

Anyone else seeing all negative results for COVID testing at their hospital? We have had several patients who are clinically positive with no other explanation and they test negative over and over. Could it be faulty tests or technique? Or that some people don’t test positive until a few weeks after their symptoms? All I know is I don’t trust these tests one bit. Scary thing is, if the patients test negative they are not isolating them and some nurses are only wearing surgical mask in room.

I have no idea what is wrong with me or how to fix it. In my lifetime, I have no real friends even though I meet so many people. I reach out and they dismiss me. I ask how they're doing and they don't reciprocate or ignore me. I really try to be a kind, fun friend.

My therapist thinks there's nothing wrong with me, but I just meet the wrong people.
