Note to self, dont have a baby during busy season again...

Currently going through the hiring process for a role in San Francisco. They told me the starting base was $110K, but this sounds like pennies in a city like San Francisco! I am concerned that if I make it through I’ll basically be poor in such an expensive city, not to mention the taxes. I also have a baby so child care I am sure is expensive. Not sure if it would make sense. Advice?

Hello, I just came back from maternity leave a couple months ago. When I came back I started working for a new client (nbd) This client is making me regret coming back. I have extremely early meetings to accommodate intnl teams while I have baby that also needs my attention. I am just at my breaking point, and my workload tripled. What advice would you give to a mid-30’s person who is wanting to shift careers toward consulting. I’ve already advised on transferable skills. (He has many years of management experience inclusive of data driven analysis, project management, people development, training programs, etc) .
