Nothing makes me want to go take a "bio-break" more than the 5 minute Outlook notification that a meeting is about to start. Surely I am not the only one this happens to!

What’s a bio break?

M1, I'm likely older than you and have used that term for a couple of decades. I wouldn't say it to a random colleague, but it's not a new term.

Just take the call from the bathroom

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?

Hey all - 2 years in consulting so far as a fairly "type b" personality - relaxed, uncompetitive, enjoy socializing with my colleagues. To be clear, this is not the same as being lazy or irresponsible - I am diligent and do my work well.

Nonetheless I think we can generally say finance/professional services etc. reward "type a" habitudes on its face.

Thought it could be fun/funny/supportive to share experiences as the chiller brains in these anxiety-fueled fields.

Pros and Cons of disclosing the diagnosis to my team, partner, or firm? I’m torn.

Lol and yes i know Allen Edmonds are good but keep in mind that I work as an associate at KPMG

Currently at a firm that doesn’t off global deployment programs, but very interested in pursuing one. Any tips on how to make this goal a reality?

I see Allen Edmonds is having a sale.. Is this their best sale?

I thought I remember seeing posts in the past where everything is half off, maybe bi-annually.

Is that true? And should I wait...

I’ve been working at my current job for going on four years now. After COVID I took on a lot of responsibility at work and was given a promotion to senior case manager. I’ve trained several new case managers, took on a lot of responsibilities and I am considered the backbone of my site by my supervisor who works remotely. I’ve tried to ask for a raise on several occasions but I was told that it’s not in the budget every time. What should I do?im 28, should I just take my experience elsewhere?
