I’m on the fence to get my baby boy circumcised. Other than religious and cultural reasons, what made you go for it. Is it for hygiene or just a preference?
What kind of benefits does your company? How many weeks of vacation did you start at? Sick time ?
Odd question, but I’m starting a new job in a few days. Am I able to use the private medical insurance at my new company straight away? Or do I have to wait for probation period to finish?
Firms that are forcing associates back to the office should give billable hour credit to those who get sick until they recover.
I believe people should get vaccinated when they can and if they are able to. I also think it’s wrong for governments to mandate vaccination. Doing so severely infringes on individual freedom and sets a bad precedent for the future.
I am currently working as a program financial analyst in a government contracting company and wanting to pivot my career more towards human capital and org development. I am a semester into my I-O master program and looking for a way to pivot for more professional experience. My desired sector would be in the tech, medical, or even doing consulting. Previous mentors suggested to start as a recruiter (there would be a paycut). For someone starting off in this field, what would you recommend?
For those with a internal medical doctor significant other/connection - what are typical salary ranges in major cities like NYC, Chicago, Sf, LA etc?
I have a fiancé and wanted to see if I could add her to my medical benefits even if we’re not married yet but have a child together. Live in California
I hate people who have kids and then act like their life is so much more busier than yours and that they have a life and if you're single you're prob just sitting around doing nothing. News fucking flash single people have a life we actually can be very busy. Jeeeeesuuusss.
Nothing worse than being sick in a hotel room
Are there any lawyers in here that DON’T have the flexibility to run to a doctor appointment during the day or meet a contractor without taking a PTO day? Or WFH if kid is sick? I’m job hunting and wonder whether this is something I even need to mention it in negotiating offers, as it seems commonplace. (Recognize that staff people in this bowl (assistants/paralegals) may have different requirements.)
Who hates the canadian medical system? Just to see an emergency doctor takes hours. I rather pay and get out than to fight my pain in the waiting room
I am responding to the teacher who has had to take so many sick days! I am right there with you! The stress I'm experiencing at school is extremely unhealthy! I am increasingly realizing incorporating students, especially, some sped students I work with into an institutionalized setting with petty almost laughable rules and regulations, I'm the wrong match. I could go on, but....
I will be starting in Medical ICU in June. I'm super nervous/excited. Any tips? Book recommendations?
Im wanting to advance to a lead or supervisor position but I keep getting turned down because I don't have enough supervisory experience. I have 5+ years of experience in medical coding, 3 in medical records and 10 in accounting. I've worked mostly in smaller facilities where I've taken on a lot of roles under one title. How am I supposed to get the experience everyone is looking for if no one will give me a chance?
Does anyone’s employee reimburse for the medical exam?? Was not expecting to drop $700 (for 2) unexpectedly. I know they pay for most everything so don’t wanna be greedy, but also just paid for PP with the increased fees :(
Any Idea what a certified medical assistant of 13 years in Indiana should make?? Have some team lead background
Should I accept the offer or are they lowballing me? I just finished my offer discussion with the recruiter from PwC for a summer (May-August) internship at PwC Corporate Finance (boutique investment bank) in Montreal, Canada. They’re offering me $47k CAD (prorated), no benefits bcs internship, 10 sick days. Did my research and asked around, it seems to me that it’s very. I was expecting sth between ($60k -$80k CAD). What do you think? PwC
