Notice Period Logic Scenario: My last working day is a Thursday. My joining Day in New org is next Monday. If I take 3 paid Day leaves, my last day should be Sunday, meaning last working day is Friday. Any other way notice period may get extended to Monday/Tuesday?

Don't do something unwarranted. Just leave on Thursday and relax next couple days.

Is it rude to suggest to a new analyst that she needs to look more professional, e.g. don’t show up with wet hair to client meetings (even if on Zoom)? FYI I’m also a female and just trying to look out for these new hires

Anyone else at a firm so rooted in the past that you’re embarrassed explaining it to other attorneys? Example: We are 10 months into COVID and my firm still hasn’t decided on/implemented a video meeting platform (Zoom, Teams, etc.). So if I want to have a video meeting I have to ask the other party to use their video services. And it’s not at all a funding issue.

Got an offer from A&M PEPI MAS group. Currently a a manager at EYP with little over 200k TC. Should I consider making the switch ? What are some downsides and upsides ? Barely know anything about A&M except I’ve seen here that bonuses are big. Concerned about the WLB and culture.

It is very difficult to do my job and think creatively when I’m living each day in constant fear of being laid off. I’m grateful to have a job, but damn, sometimes I feel like I’m coming apart at the seams. Happy Saturday, everyone.

What web meeting platform are you using for client meetings? I’m currently using GoTo, but considering switching over to Zoom. (Got rid of Fuze years ago, it was crap)

Dear HRs, I don't have any prejudice against you all but please start mentioning the salary range or bracket when posting a job opening in portals and confirm the same during screening call itself. Don't drag the candidature till the end and say we don't have budget.

Anyone here who started their consulting careers later in life? Always seeing posts about how young people make it to P... wondering about the other stories. I started as a C at 29 (yes, unfortunately, I fall into the bucket of exp hire hired at a lower level...), made M at 33. Doing well but also feeling like I’m already too old to aim to be a P. Hoping for some perspectives.
