Compensation

Now I know why people post these. I have an offer as a SC for 95K + 5k sign on in NYC with 1 year to manager at Protiviti. They tell me they can't give the 100K I am asking for.

Not six figures in NYC for SC sounds low, but entirely possible that they have a policy that SC caps at 95

Does this sound about right? Do you think I can squeeze them for more?

What’s SC equivalent to at EY (or other big 4s for that matter)? It seems low tbh. First year senior at a big 4 should be upwards of $100k in nyc. Being 1 year away from manager and being under $100k would worry me regarding what manager comp will look like

Not the same levels as Protiviti

That’s high for a SC. Case in point, in non tiered NY offices, first year managers are getting low 90s. Comp is not competitive, but they tout work life balance. Work paid more per hour than peers.

If and when manager level hits, you will get a smaller % raise than peers bc of bands. They will level back out.

That’s not high for a SC. Right around par. I knew of a new manager getting offered 125k with 6 years exp.
