I stayed at a Marriott Moxy in Minneapolis and I was traumatized too. Maybe it’s just Minneapolis
Marriott+SPG
Hyatt has the "best" loyalty program, but Hyatts are so few that's it's not realistic to be loyal to them. Stick with Marriott/SPG
Hey, these folks travel for work as well. See them complaining? #firstworldproblems
I once stayed at the Hyatt Blue in Minneapolis by the Mall of America and I’m still traumatized
Our client in Minneapolis had a strict “preferred hotel” policy. Our kickoff week coincided with some sports thing and there was no rooms available, excerpt for America’s Best Value Inn, which was an experience. After a week eating breakfast off polystyrene plates, I managed to get a room in the Hyatt.
When I checked in they asked if I wanted a balcony, and I’m like sure, that sounds nice. But, it’s a balcony that looks over the attached water park full of screaming kids. My room has a queen plus bunk beds. The hotel lost my dry cleaning for a couple of days and every time I was in the elevator I was surrounded by kids in swim suits with parents looking at me like I was a predator.
2/5 stars; would consider alternatives before staying here again
Hyatt
^ At one point people said that about SPG
