I am currently interviewing for a Conversational AI Architect role with Google. This is a contractor position. Glassdoor has a salary of $120,000 and $140,000.

What should I ask for salary wise for this role as a contractor? Bear in mind I would not be a direct employee.

Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. Is anyone else concerned about how to raise the expectations and students’ self-discipline back to pre-enabling levels?

Perspective is a funny thing. If you are convicted of a small crime, you may be punished with community service. If your company offers "great benefits" they may include community volunteer days. Do criminals have better ESG scores than me?

Went to the gym after over a year today. Have been procrastinating since the last time I went - had pulled a muscle and decided to take a break, and the break turned into a year-long hiatus. Turns out, I like the pain. Hoping to lose all my stubborn belly fat by the end of the year! One day at a time, as they say.

Last Spring I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. When I was diagnosed, I think I had had it for several years. My doctor put me on a diabetes med (my A1C was 10.2 and my blood sugar was 270). I knew I didn’t want to deal with the adverse effects of this disease, so I made some drastic dietary changes, started exercising, and brought my blood sugar down. I am now back in the pre-diabetic range, and I got off my diabetes meds. I lost 40 lbs. and feel great! Take care of yourselves! It’s important

My school is a small rural school. We don’t offer many in-house electives. What’s happening is students are having to take whatever is there to fill their schedules. If they aren’t interested in the class, then it becomes an opportunity for disruptions because they aren’t interested. What are some electives you have at your school that are new, innovative and interesting for todays high school students?
