The fact that you’re asking the question confirms the answer. Yes. 😊
It’s time to go. I stayed 10 years in one please and I never made more than $12 - 15 hr. Plus had management duties. You hit your max 2 years. Move on for your own health period.
Pay aside, do you like what you do, are you treated well and feel appreciated, are the values of the practice in line with yours, do you enjoy your coworkers and look forward to going to work?
I am not treated well and definitely not respected or appreciated by really one except maybe my long term patients. The day I asked for a raise the office administrator posted my position and started interviewing offering $55 an hour. I like my co workers but everyone is checked out and looking for a new job or near retirement. No one seems to care, does the bare minimum. I am motivated and take pride in my work, it’s a de motivating environment. I have high collections and great patient reviews. I enjoy working but I feel like I am surrounded by no one else who does. One of my colleagues commented how somber and depressing the office is when I am away. Anyways I had 3 interviews last week let’s hope I get something!
Thank you for all your responses. I do enjoy my work. I don’t feel appreciated by the management. I have an interview at a large health system that will be more financially rewarding. I’ll see if I get it. If I do I will leave. I really like my patients and co workers so it would be hard to leave but I think you guys are right I should leave there is no loyalty to me. I am just a replaceable worker.
There are so many NP gigs. I'm about to go to ARNP school and am haunting the job boards and asking around about other NP job experiences. CVS seems like a nice interim gig. Until you find your new home. Don't stay and be abused. One of our NPs basically runs her Docs practice and she asked for a raise like you did and they poor mouthed her...they have a billion dollar practice btw. . So she threatened to leave and they started throwing money at her. They would actually have to work if she left. Know what your value is and don't be shy!
You will find better. It may take a little time. I know you will. Business excuses don’t provide retention. You are your own advocate.
Conviva is looking for providers.
My position was just elimated yesterday. however the favorites will be kept on even they basically do nothing. Told it's a business decision. but hired 2 new MA' Same day. Personal I said, they denied.
When they posted my position it was super long! I did a lot of things for the clinic I recently left. I was like nah I am done. I get a salary of one person but am working as three.
No raise for 2 years is ridiculous with the current state of inflation. Guarantee prices have increased for patients and some of that should be passed on to your paycheck.
