Does Deloitte 'equalize' salary during promotion? Making 85k (which I think is fairly low for my level) and about to go to SC. I've been told I fall squarely into my pay band but I don't think that's true...

Laid off. I’d like to temp/freelance (for cheap) somewhere I can learn digital at the technical level at a much more junior role. Possible? So many digital jobs and I can’t qualify for many of them.

When is the compensation discussions at EY supposed to occur? Have not gotten any indication when this will happen in my office yet.

I’ve been incredibly overwhelmed by my caseload and hands-off approach by my boss given that I’m still a “baby attorney.” Had an interview today with another firm that offers more money, lower billable req (below my current 2100+), will ease me into a caseload rather than just throw me into one (I walked into a 20+ caseload on day 0), and will be more hands on. Benefits are the same but higher pay (cont.)

I have got a call for cloud engineer position in PWC.
But i havent heard back from anyone for scheduling any interview.
The HR had called me and asked me about my experience in cloud/DevOps, Current CTC, expectations, offered salary.
But after that I havent got any call for interview.

I feel trapped. We work hard, break glass ceilings, put in all the blood, sweat and tears needed to "make it". Usually twice as fast, with a babe on a hip - cooking, running a call. I'm over 50, solo and a parent & over the rat race. I've been putting out feelers and feeling the over 50 burn. I don't need to lead the world - a small piece would be nice, ok money. Fun people, easy roll, smart work, build smart people - cool teams. I get "you'll be bored here - we can't afford you". What2do?

How do you know that your depressed and not just “feeling bad”?
