I lived in Sydney for a year and I can say with certainty that you wont miss anything. Sydney is a beautiful city with amazing people and a pretty good party scene if you find the right group. Also the outdoors activities and dozens of places to visit nearby make it one of the best experiences. Definitely different kind of vibe but it is a good place for your 20s
I'd go to Sydney.
Sydney would be an amazing experience!!!
I'm moving to Sydney in the next couple of weeks. I've found international experience to be a career benefit (having already lived outside the US several times). Sydney is also a fun city with a great work/life balance. One big downside is the cost of food, clothing, electronics, etc. A pair of Levi jeans can cost US$250 there. The 64gb iPhone X that will be US$999 in the US will be be US$1260 in Australia. Buy clothes and electronics before you go there! mckfb2017@gmail.com if you want to talk further.
Not wise from what perspective? Ny will always be there and always have a shitty job to crush your soul
Depends what u want. Pay is lower, and if u plan on coming back, staying in US might be faster advancement career-wise. But I heard life is much better and relaxed out there. Also good chance to travel on the other side of the globe. Challenging and international business experience, if that means anything.
I do want to have the global experience but I feel I'll be missing out if I don't spend my 20s in NY
I would love to make this move. Do it!
Huh how are you doubting this at all? Hook me up with this person and I'll take your connection!
How did you get the offer, if you don't mind me asking. Internal transfer?
I've been here just over a year, make sure you factor in taxes. I moved mid calendar year and got killed on my part year US income and owed tax versus normal refund. Echo work life balance and overall cool place comments.
Sydney sucks
I lived in Syd for quite some time. Know a lot of the EY, D, and Acn folks. jaykaywork9 at gmail. Def worth it for short to mid term in my opinion (depending on career level and area).
